Megan's Top 70 of 2010: #48 - Stornoway

Why I Decree it to Be So:

Listening to this here record by Stornoway, it's as though you can almost feel the beautiful briskness of salty sea mist kissing your cheeks and feel the cold sand squish between your toes. Supposedly influenced by the water and life on the shore, the vibe of Beachcomber's Windowsill is modern traditional English seafaring folk. Hipster sea shanties? Not quite. But one thing that is for sure is the fact that there's a whole lot to love about this album, and something about it just makes me smile. It's the perfect accompaniment to daydreaming.
